So.. in the tradition of Gen'l Jackson at New Orleans, did they have to find an alligator to keep shootin'?

We fired our cannon til the barrels melted down
Then we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round.
Filled his head with cannonballs and powdered his behind,
an' when we touched the powder off the 'gator lost his mind!

From the song "The Battle of New Orleans" sung by Johnny Horton.

"When you find them, kill them. What a refreshing approach, to actually kill the hell out of these bastards. SECDEF Mattis and CJCS General Dunford sure as hell understand the nature of war."

And that's how you win. An ROE for success!

Can someone summarize for me what military assets we have on the ground in Syria? I didn’t realize we had a frigging artillery battery.

Managing barrel life is always fun. For a brief, shining moment, I had the privelige of having fired more 120mm sabot than any other crew in my battalion. One of the very few perks I took as the boss.

The main other one is that I ran my tank so much that I had more hours on the engine than any other tank in the army. Life was good.

Esli, it was your last hurrah. You were entitled, I'd say.
