Dang, scary times on the Continent have returned.

Maybe someday the Western Europeans will defend themselves.

And then there is this from Foxnews. A whole divisions worth of equipment. It's a start, I guess. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/03/30/pentagon-reportedly-lays-out-plan-for-increased-us-presence-in-eastern-europe.html?intcmp=hplnws

Wouldn't the Airborne contingent be the 173d Abn. Bde. currently in Vicensa, Italy? It's all so Reforger-ish.

To clarify, what is happening is that the airborne brigade at Vicenza and the Stryker Regiment at Vilsrck are being joined by a Armor BCT that will bring their own equipment be stationed forward in eastern Europe for nine months. The current plan is that a CONUS-based ABCT has parts of the brigade rotating in and out of the theater for nine months. When they are here (I say here because i am currently stationed in Germany), they draw vehicles from the European Activities Set. Putting the new ABCT in with their own fleet will free up the EAS fleet to be available for a second ABCT to come at short notice.
