It would be interesting to see what sort of time he could clock on a straight attempt without all of the extra tire-shredding. That pair of snails sticking out of the hood will keep him at or near peak power all the way to the top. His brake-turn lever, though, would have been much more suited to the pre-pavement Pikes Peak climb, c.f. "Cloud Dance".
That was some impressive driving. I suspect that he couldn't pass the brake check on the way down, though.
