...of course the Ka-52 does have an ejection seat. Couldn't have hit THAT button instead firing the explosive bolts holding all rotor blades and sending the pilot for a ride and perhaps dropping the hulk before reaching the observation area. Just sayin.'

That's a great question. He sure seemed to be in line with the rocket trajectory.
